Ensuring successful completion of the Programme

The training plan

A detailed training plan will be designed between your Director of Human Resources/Human Resources Manager, your Training Manager and you either prior to or at the commencement of the traineeship. This training plan needs to include the following:

  • Time allocated for each area of the programme
  • Training schedules for each area of the programme
  • Quarterly review dates

Roles and responsibilities

All parties involved in your traineeship need to be clear about their respective roles. It will be the responsibility of the Director of Human Resources and the Training Manager to ensure that roles and responsibilities are effectively communicated to all parties involved.

Meetings and progress reports

In order to receive ongoing feedback on performance aimed towards accelerated growth, the you will receive formalised feedback on a quarterly basis. This can be done during your quarterly meetings that are scheduled as part of the appraisal system. During these meetings, you will receive feedback on the development of technical competence, quality of projects completed and assignments submitted.

Support through a mentor/coach

To support you, a mentor/coach is assigned to you. This colleague will act as a guide during the traineeship. This colleague will beselected with agreement of the Director of Human Resources and you, the Trainee. Your mentor / coach will meet the following criteria:

  • Will currently hold an executive or management position
  • Has extensive experience in the industry
  • Has a proven track record of effectively developing others
  • Is competent in helping others to identify and pursue suitable solutions to real life problems
  • Has undertaken formal training in coaching / mentoring

Completion of the programme

At the completion of the programme, you will be presented with a certificate to that effect. Depending on your performance during the management traineeship and availability of vacancies, you will be offered a suitable management position within Jumeirah.
