About the Role:
  • Coordinate with S&L Management team on status of the gym and PT
  • Coordinate with other departments and handle information that is done in collaboration with other departments
  • Enhance member and guest experience through high contact
  • Meet, greet and acknowledge every member who are using the gymnasium
  • Provide a personal and professional service
  • Conduct high quality inductions
  • Prescribe high quality programs based upon goals and results of prospect
  • Offer advice and ensure safe training techniques to members
  • Promote and offer internal programs and services
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the gymnasium
  • Ensure that facility is fully functional during all operational hours
  • Report any faults immediately
  • Update the Gymnasium Opening / Closing Checklist on a daily basis
  • Maintain individual files for clients and record and update revenues generated on the Daily Revenue Summary sheet on daily basis
  • Maintain daily records for each Personal Training session and ensure payments are made in advance
  • Maintain daily records for Block Personal Training (5 or 10) paying clients and obtain their signature after each session conducted and to be kept in their respective files.
  • Ensure the general cleanliness and maintenance of the gymnasium equipment and surrounding areas on a daily basis
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of all areas in the gym and its equipment, including cardio vascular area, resistance and free weights area and the gym office/assessment room.
  • Ensure that weights (dumbbells, plates etc.) are replaced on the weight racks in order and on a regular basis
  • Check all audio equipment in aerobics studio and in gym (headphones, transmitters, TV) during opening and closing shift and make sure they are in working order and report any malfunctions immediately
  • Ensure there is a Fitness Instructor on the gym floor at all times
  • Achieve 20-hours Personal Training sessions a week
  • Customize gym instructional skills to include specific areas of expertise current in the fitness industry
  • Schedule remaining hours for administration and gym floor coverage and/or conducting Individual/Group Gym Inductions, a maximum of 5-Aerobics classes per week.
  • Assist Sports and Leisure Management in organizing a variety of activities for members on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, as and when directed too.
  • Be aware of the departmental Budgets and Targets on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Be aware of your individual responsibility in ensuring the budgets and targets are met
  • Be aware of the pricing of all products and services available and offered with SBU department
About You:
  • National Personal Training Certification (ACE or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to act as a role model to clients through own athletic body shape / aspirational
  • Fluent in English at Business Level in verbal and written communications
